What My Soul Sings (black pearls)

My
Soul
Chatters
With the pitter-patter
Of children’s laughter
Accompanied
By tone poems of solo
Piano sounding
Off like Shango.

My soul chimes in the wind
Breaking every wave
For those who chose
To ride the riptide
Rather than chance
Life after
Under-
tow.
My soul
Thrums deeper
Than a lion’s
Roar atop fallen
Bullets of rain
That soon will ascend
From Earth like birds of fire.

But–
What
My soul
Really sings
Are the black pearls, that
Make dreams come true, amongst other
Things.
